Virgin Games Lack of Mobile-Compatibility

With so many fantastic online bingo sites now developing their games for mobile players, it seems crazy for one to take this away – but this is exactly what Virgin Games have done.

The Scoop

At the end of 2012, the big news in the bingo industry was that Gamesys was essentially buying out the massive Virgin brand, overtaking all markets from casino games to bingo.  This came as a shock to industry insiders, who tend to be of the opinion that the software, games and promotions on offer at Virgin Bingo were of a much higher standard than the ones we see from other Gamesys brands, but this was just the tip of the iceberg.

Gamesys vs. Virtue Fusion

Though Virgin Bingo was within the Virtue Fusion network, they actually pulled a lot of their games from outwith this company. This meant that as well as offering all the fantastic Virtue Fusion games, Virgin Bingo were able to offer instants powered by other industry leaders like IGT, Microgaming and Playtech.  This made them a very unique bingo site indeed, and it was why they enjoyed so much popularity with bingo and casino fans alike.  Though they have kept a lot of the games that Virgin Bingo carried and simply added Gamesys offerings into the mix, some are worried that they are slowly phasing out these games in favour of an exclusively Gamesys menu.  But this was not to be the end.

The Obliteration of Virgin Mobile

All sites under the Virtue Fusion umbrella have either already created their mobile gaming software or are in the process of doing so.  Before Virgin was bought over by Gamesys, they had offered a fantastic collection of games for iPhone and Android users.  However, Gamesys have not yet developed their mobile gaming platform, and at present it is understood that they have no plans to do so.  This means that what could have been another fantastic avenue for mobile gaming has turned mobile barren!

The Lack of Mobile Compatibility

We find it really hard to believe that any online bingo site is not developing a mobile platform, but there has not even been a sniff of news about this from Gamesys, leading us all to believe that they simply won’t offer this up.  This is a huge mistake.  The massive popularity of mobile gaming is growing and showing no signs of ending, so Gamesys site like the newly acquired Virgin Games will surely be left behind.
